It's been nearly 2 weeks from "the knock" my partner was arrested for having sexual communication with miniors. This happened over 3 years ago on adult chart rooms and he was never aware of the ages but they said they where 17.

My life has been turned upside down. I have 3 children and have ss now involved just in the process of trying to arrange supervised contact for christmas.

Doesn't even know where this Legally stands. He's now moved out the family home, devices where taken when arrested. Just now left to pick up on the pieces but it's so hard.

It is indeed ridiculously hard.

My person was accused of similar but that end up in nothing, but they still found two images cat A and C so got sentenced for that.

The not knowing what's going to happen is the worse coupled up with being a single parent straight away. It's an awful feeling.

Strongly suggest that he looks for a solicitor ASAP and for therapy to understand why he did what he did and to get assessment.

And you, take as much care of yourself as you can. Love bomb you and your kids, it's the one think that kept me sane.

Big hugs x

That's so tough, just before Christmas. Keep your loved ones close and take support from wherever you can.

Hi ,

3 years seems like a very long time for one conversation? Are you sure it was just that and howcome it took that length of time?

Makingsense,

I'm so sorry this has happened, it's one of the worst things I think you can go through. I have to second Cross's question about the length of time. Sometimes it can take a while as not enough information is given to identify a person but 3 years is extremely excessive, most people would have a new phone by this point so it could then be a waste of time as the evidence would be gone. I'm also not entirely sure whether it would be investigated if a person was 17 as although illegal it's cutting it fine. The only thing I can reason with is if it would be a real person who has come forward and gone to the Police. Try to look after yourself and get your head around things and as we say on here a lot, hope for the best but prepare for the worst. Maybe try and speak to your partner at some point and ask if there is anything more to it Xx
