My husband had one conversation in 2018 and another Nov 2021 he was arrested Jan 2022.

My husband had 2 conversations, Dec-Feb, arrested beginning of march and sentenced end Oct. Both conversations with police decoys. First was just for 1 day, second was over a 3 week period.
Cross789; I have no idea why it took 5 months. Police didn't explain anything but then again I don't think I would have taken anything in because I was having an anxiety attack and couldn't breathe. It was horrible. A nightmare I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.
I was told by OH that he spoke to the same "minor"/decoy twice over a very short space of time (could have been the same day). The first chat was on a 18+ chat site and they then swapped Kik ID's so they could chat there. No idea why they changed sites or who suggested it.
From the conversation I had with the PO the next day I believe it was this second chat that was used to make the arrest. She also said it took long because they normally prioritise the case by the severity/serious nature and also it could be due to staffing issues.
None of us deserve to be in this situation and it's so sad that whilst everyone else is enjoying the Xmas season and the warmth of being around loved ones, we are here discussing this.
Praying that 2023 brings all of us that are here either posting or reading these threads some happiness and peace finally. X

Has anybodys persons conversation taken longer than a month or so to result in an arrest?
In my persons case the decoy conversation was 27 sept to 11 oct and the arrest was 10 nov so around a month
