My son is on the SOR. He has just come out of sentence in HMP. He wants to move on & a lot of the jobs he wants to apply for include driving but when you admit he has a criminal conviction, they want to know why. That's hard in itself & then they quote an amount way out of his means. Are there insurance companies that take this into account please? How are they ever expected to move on. He's no income but wants to work.

Churchill do not ask about non motoring convictions.

There are some people who have used admiral and direct line. Hope this helps. X

Thank you web89. I will look into it. Things are tough with his transition from prison to home, but we are getting there.

Does your son live with you? If he does this may affect your household insurance. You will need to read the small print. If needing new insurance i suggest you take out new insurance then cancel your old one as most companies will not insure you, and then you have to explain to new companies why you have had previous insurance cancelled or declined.

Hi, we used LVE, who only ask about motoring convictions. Check the website Unlock, they have a list of companies like this.
