My husband is pleading guilty to 3 offences, no images, since we found out how much the solicitor is charging he says he doesn't think.he needs one, did anyone else not use a solicitor, he is at the magistrates court 28th May
Hi Chrissy,
I think even if pleading guilty a solicitor is needed as they know the law and know how to get the best outcome from the court system for your husband.
Without one you are at the mercy of the judge with no way of knowing if he could or couldn't of got a better sentence.
A solicitor that does their job well could be the difference between a suspended sentence and a community order which whilst most look at and are the same time frames a community order is co sided spent so much earlier and therefore sooner that disclosure isn't needed.

Hi Chrissy, solicitors are very expensive but worth having. Have you tried to claim legal aid? If you are likely to lose your job over the charges legal aid should be available.
No ifs, no buts, get a solicitor.
