So after almost 2 years, today is the day. Nerves shot doesn't help that his barrister is off sick and we found out last minute that they didn't get stop it call logs or counsellor notes from a professional trained with Lucy faithful. Barrister told us she'd that all sorted but no. It's in psr report and go notes bit no proof I'm fuming. We got to send last night together and he's just off there. I'm. Not going as I've been through enough and he said the same. Need your strength today lovely people x

Thinking of you today Newlady. It's my OH's plea hearing today so we're both playing the waiting game it seems.

If only more people considered the innocent family in these situations and what they're going through.

Please let us know how it goes. x

After all that it was adjourned because the stuoud solicitors can't do their job right and didn't get the proof of his counselling or modules with stop it even though we asked time and time again was it done and they saud yes it's all in. They didn't even send over full medical report!!!!!! We didn't find out about this until yesterday so judge wasn't happy there was no evidence and couldn't reach a verdict until she had it because its just hearsay. I'm so angry we've been out through this for nothing so 26th Jan. More limbo. Thanks for your support xx

We asked time and time again was everything in and she said yes. His own barrister is off sick but should have had this done months ago. The solicitor wouldn't admit they are at fault but the stand in barrister did. Unbelievable how imcompedent these people are like it's someones life.

Oh that's awful for you I'm so sorry that you're having to face more stress and limbo due to the incompetence of others.

This is something I'm worried about as well-we had the plea hearing adjourned initially because the barrister was contesting one of the charges so it had to go to crown and then when we had the plea hearing in December the sentencing was adjourned because the PSR hadn't been done so we now have a date in January.

Fortunately due to now living a long way away my person was able to do this via zoom but my fear is that we travel back for sentencing only to find that the paperwork hasn't been done.

Did Probation get in touch with your OH before the sentencing date?- our solicitor has sent all the paperwork to them and says we should hear from them but so far nothing.

Sending you lots of love and strength xx

Sorry to hear it was adjourned. We had the same issue, not all the paperwork was ready and was delayed for about a month. We also had a different solicitor on the actual day of sentencing and they were pants.

It is so frustrating that we wait years and then it's a mad rush at the end.

Sea side yes, probation officer rang him. And had a face to face interview too. She called last week going through the psr then sent it across. It had to be ordered by the judge as he's been adjured so. Many times. Then this. Thanks everyone for your support it means the world to me x

Newlady,

I'm so sorry for all your messing about, it's horrific! It would've been better if it had all been there but at least the judge wanted to consider those factors so it seems pretty positive. Fingers crossed for a fair sentence. Big hugs xx

I'm sorry you've gone through this, this part of the process seems particularly cruel.

As Baffled has said, it's positive that she seems to want to consider everything, which is what I think we all want - To know you've been treated fairly. If she'd made her judgement without this information, you'd always have had the "what ifs" and I can tell you, they are hard to live with when the consequences are so high.

Thanks girls that's a really good way of looking at it, I'm so angry at barristers stand in one was fuming. Prosuction were all over it yet the solicitor didn't pick up I. It even though we gave the information tone and time again, only we mentioned it to him he had no clue, saud he never heard of Lucy faithful or stop it!!!! My person had many convos with barrister about it! My backs locked up because of the bloody stress of it all but I'm going to think positively today, thanks girls you are all amazing xx

Bless you, hope your back gets better. From what I've witnessed, the barrister and solicitor are two totally separate entities and there is no flow to the process which is unfortunate & unproductive. It really is such a gamble with everything because some solicitors give you great advice and others don't and it's the same with barristers too. The first barrister we had was totally useless and even conflated an illegal image (not iioc) with a cat A image and made reference to it in the drafting of his defence statement yet the second barrister was amazing and picked up on loads of things we hadn't considered. The judge was also highly supportive of the positive factors in his life - me, his course he is doing for his job, etc. which helped end with the outcome we got. I'm really hopeful your judge will consider the good in your case too once she sees it and it will help contribute towards a fair decision xx

Baffled it's unbelievable because I honestly think I'd do a better job myself. Email being sent today with all. The pints that should be been in his defence against ops, the year beyeew charges and sending evidence over being one. Wasn't mentioned yesterday. Only its so close again I'd be changing solicitor and barrister. The barrister wouldnt even soeak to solicitor yesterday hevwas fuming.

I would be absolutely furious as well.

We changed our Solicitor after receiving charges as the duty solicitor who attended the initial interview seemed to be very disorganised and obviously hadn't fully read the evidence.

The Solicitor we have now is very good and works closely with the Barrister as they're both part of the same firm.

She's sent all the paperwork to the judge already so we are just waiting for the PSR to be done now .
