You will get through this. After the knock my OH was remanded and we had the knock, charged and sentenced after only three weeks all while he was on remand. I like you would wake up and then remember my new reality. I took a day i only cried three times that day as a win as i was crying all the time. Time is a healer, it is tough but so are you. You will not realise how strong a person you are, but you are. Just take a day at a time. If people in work comment your not your usual self, just say you are not feeling 100%, this is not a lie. I could not work for 2 months after the knock.
I wish I could take the pain away, but you will get through this. Xx

Hi King,
You are so incredibly strong, you will have days where the enormity of it seems too much but brighter days will come. I was fortunate to be working from home at the time of the knock and I was able to speak to my boss about doing reduced hours initially. Work was actually a welcome distraction.
Your OH seems to be doing all they can to address their behaviour which is hugely positive. Have you spoken to the helpline or your GP? It's important that you get support too. We can sometimes get wrapped up in supporting everyone else that we suffer a decline in our own mental health.
There are employers who don't ask about unspent convictions and you may be entitled to universal credit if you're the only person in the household who is earning. Try not to think too far ahead, focus on getting through the next minute, hour etc. There are so many unknowns and you'll be in the catastrophising stage so thinking too far ahead will only cause you more anxiety. Sending love to you xxx

Hello King.
Each and everyone of us on here have innocently been landed with the horrible conquences of this crime. Our stories are all different but the emotions and devastation we've suffered are exactly the same.
Webb & Distressed give good advice. You will get there -we are here for you, any time, any day x
