So we have just had the phone call back from the police that my partners devices are back from forensics. They have now said they are doing a report to send to the CPS, however, they didn't say what they had found. Is this normal? Also and ideas how long this next bit takes? Thank you!

Hi Emma,

drop them an email or call back and ask exactly what they will be asking the CPS to charge for?
they should be able to tell you the number of iioc and cats, we were told at this stage.

Every part of country is different for timescales from 4 weeks to 4 months for cps x

Hi Emma, we have been told what is being sent to the CPS but seems like every case however similar is dealt with differently. We have also been given a date (end of march) to return to police station to find out cps result, although have been told by solicitor that we may be contacted sooner. So yea maybe worth calling them to ask what has been sent xx

Emma2409; I was wondering if you'd had any update from cps?
OH had initial interview on day of arrest then RUI. OH was advised to say "No comment" so has not pleaded guilty.
Haven't heard anything from the police since (8 months) then this week OH emailed police to ask if there were any travel restrictions applied to his RUI and was told he could travel and that the case was now with CPS. Our solicitor has not been updated about the charges or what forensic found. We know nothing. I'm now sick with worry about what was in the report. What they found. How long will the CPS take or what the charges will be.
Severe anxiety has set in again as the thought of having to go to court, media involvement and loss of job/home is suddenly looking like a real possibility. Can anyone share their experiences about CPS procedures and timescales please?

thank you x
