So glad I found this and to know I'm not the only one. Received the knock this morning. My son has been taken for questioning regarding 2 images from Kik in 2021. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT TO EXPECT ???? my son has never been in trouble, is a hard working boy. Not condoning what he has done by any means. Myself and his dad are devastated, beside ourselves with worry. Both my daughters have received phone calls stating that my grandchildren can't be around him for now. This will tear our family apart. Please please help ????
Good morning MrsDavies.. I'm so sorry you are going through this.
Similar to my story, we got the knock may 2022 for my son (then 17 now 18) for 2 images from the kik app phone taken away for forensics. Dragging on until Jan 2023 the police came back to arrest him, turns out they found more than 2. It is now with cps awaiting charge decision. please be prepared for a long process, the waiting is hell. But this forum is fantastic for support without judgement. You are not alone in this, sending you lots of strength.. xx

I'm sorry you find yourself here and that everything has happened so quickly with SS and your daughters/ grandchildren.
It is extremely early days and emotions and feelings change. It may be helpful for him and the family if he's able to open up and understand why he got to where he was. I'd suggest you both reach out to the help line and asking your son to look at the online modules on the Lucy Faithfull Foundation.

Hi Mrs,
go though the whole forum and take notes of things which may be helpful from social services and safety plans for the children to work/counselling he should do for himself and give the helpline a call. You're probably in for the long haul so be prepared for that - from months to years! it's the Pitts you will be on an emotional rollercoaster, don't make any hasty decisions and do lots of talking and making time for yourself x
