I'm sorry you've not had a reply to this yet JayJay. We're just at the very beginning. OH signed last week, and we won't know for how long until sentencing.

Right now I'm really struggling with the fact that our lives are still going to be under such scrutiny, even after sentencing, and for so long, for a bad thing my OH did, but he isn't a bad person.

I wonder if this thread isn't getting much response because those thst are further down the line have adjusted and don't find themselves needing the support of the forum anymore.

There are so many users on older posts we just don't see posts from now.

I think this forum launched about 5 years ago, so those who have got past the SOR are not likely to be here. My partner had the knock in 2017, putnon the SOR for ten years from 2019. I'm still around but don't have much to say much any more.

2029 feels so far away. I'm hoping once the family court issue is resolved we can can just carry on. But between now and 2029 I know there are risks my partner will lose his job, or he can't move on from his job because no one else will hire him. I jave to hope my partner never offends again, and keeps to his conditions. The longer it has been the higher risk he could get complacent and breach such conditions like needing to up date the SOR yearly, informing the police of banking and devices etc. It isn't just whether he has contact with under 16s- that is what I'm hot on and dominates our lives- but the smaller conditions can be tricky to keep an eye on as we move on with as normal life as possible.
