So it's some positive news. Hubby had his appeal hearing this morning. He appeared virtually by video link from prison. Originally sentenced to 30 months custodial and serves 15 months in prison and 15 months out on licence.

The appeal judges almost halved his sentence, going from 30 months to 19 months. A shorter custodial also reduces his time on the register so now it's 10 years instead of indefinitely. So instead of serving 15 months in prison its now just over 9 months. He's already served 2 months so he will be released this August. It's still a custodial and it's still 10 years on the register but it's a positive outcome xx

That's great news that you get him home quicker.

Hi,

I was hoping you'd have some positive news as it was such a harsh sentence and the fact that they didn't take anything into account was terrible. Hopefully you will now be able to concentrate on the future and what that looks like for all of you, whether you choose to rebuild or not xxx

I'm so pleased for you. Yes it's not an immediate release but it's sooner and it's good news about the SOR. I was thinking about you this morning and wondering when it would be. You can do this!

I'm so pleased to hear it was reduced so significantly. It begs the question as to how they got it so wrong. Those months will fly by.

I hope too that you are able to now make progress with him seeing your child.

Wow, the fight was worth it. I hope this good news has made things a little easier. I never knew how messed up the system was until this all happened. Big hugs x
