Hi, please can I ask sone advice. Are we likely to be re-referred to SS? Would this be section 17 or 47?
My son has breached his shpo. It was the day of his 18th and alcohol induced over deletion. I informed police. He has sentencing next week.

My other son is in his gcse year and approaching final exams. I'm just scared the whole SS thing is going to start again with the trauma this creates, in addition to our new reality AGAIN!

Not sure I can take much more, hair falling out again and bald patches amongst other symptoms of stress

Hi,

I wouldn't have thought so, as he already has visor/probation involved. They could make ss aware, but if everything has been signed off I doubt they would reopen a case for this.

Hi,

They may receive another referral but if they are happy with the safety plan in place they'll probably just call you to make sure you're aware and to check that the current plan remains in place. It's a box ticking exercise when they receive additional information in a closed case. You are within your rights to request no involvement above this call while your son is in his final year. Probation put in a referral during my child's GCSEs, like the actual exam times and I was able to speak to the social worker who delayed her visit until afterwards. Fortunately she had more sense than the probation officer who told me she didn't work to my timescales (face palm)

Thanks everyone.
I took a step, I thought I can either worry about this or ring them myself. And they were lovely and told me I was proactive, I had a robust plan in place, am classed as a very protective parent which is supported by my ringing them and to breathe!
Couldn't have asked for more really x
