I am no longer with my partner but I was there when he was arrested and spoke to the police after he was taken away.
My ex now lives away and is very secretive about what has happened. He is on bail and devices still being checked.
My question is if my ex is charged will the police tell me or if I ring them will they tell me what is going on?

Losteverything; I could be wrong but as you are no longer together unfortunately I don't think the police would disclose anything to you.

I believe if you have children then they may inform you but even then no certainty. I know I was told about reasons for arrest in bit more detail due to being responsible for children. Otherwise they said due to GDPR they could not disclose.
