From your posts on here, I would be so reassured if you were with me in custody.

I think it's a great idea. Since all this I have decided to change my degree and currently considering to speak to stop so after qualifying to help people who find themselves here

Hi,

I think it's a fantastic idea. Do they provide access to counsellors beforehand and throughout? Some charities do as part of their assessment of suitability process. It's important to remain self aware and if something happens that triggers old feelings please do seek help as soon as you notice it rather than letting it fester because you are worried about letting people down. Good luck with your new role xxx

I think it's a brilliant idea! Not only will you benefit those who need you but it'll also give you something good out of this nightmare. I like to think everything happens for a reason (usually but it's hard to have that mentality on this journey) and in one way or another we can all take some good out of this situation, whether it be appreciating each day or a change in career, whatever it is there has to be something x

Who better than someone who has lived through the nightmare? Go for it. You'll be brilliant and have your experience to fall back on. You could make a difference so definitely do it! X

Daffodil I think you would be absolutely brilliant at this just as long as you don't overburden yourself ( which I know from experience is easily done)

I have been racking my brain trying to figure out how I could use some of my experience and skills to help others -what I would really like to do is to go into schools and increase awareness of the dangers posed by social media and the internet but unfortunately I fear the stigma which would be associated with me.

I think people have very strong ideas and opinions regarding what a sex offender looks like ( fuelled by the media) and would be very surprised to realise that actually the vast majority are far from being the monster they are portrayed as
