Evening lovlies x

Hope you are all ok under the circumstances

My week has been ok , work, very quiet evenings as usual,

We had a video call with my son Thursday, his hair is getting so long , he hasn't hasn't had a haircut in nearly 2 years but it suits him

We have a visit tomorrow and his older brother is coming along also,

I cant believe that in May it is 3 years since the knock, RUI for 16 months, remand will have been 2 yrs Sept and next month the day before my daughters Birthday it is a year since he was sentenced

How life changed, but even though we never thought he would still be here (suicidal) he is, settled in to his routine, started a degree in prison in economics, still no programmes to help his offending but he is here , we live a new normal, I miss him but am grateful to have this new normal, xx

You are an inspiration upset mum and I love your positivity.
Do you have a 'come home date' or idea of when that will be?
I know your son will be ok once out having a mum like you :) x

Hi Upset - pleased to hear all good - your son has done very well to sort his education so quickly, prisons drag their feet.

im useless at time lines (perhaps a good thing) all I memorise is the date my son can apply for parole. The rest is quickly becoming a blur.....

He gets his haircut - perhaps costing him teabags etc. Last time we spoke the heating was broke so good job it's milder..

His art class has come to an end (unfortunately) as I know he enjoyed it. He can work full time gardening, but he really wants to brush up his English. He's in good spirits which always eases the pain of missing him......

Mother's Day will be sad :-(

Hi,

I hope you have a lovely visit Upset. I've had a good week, managed to meet my person for a few hours just the two of us on Tuesday. We went for brunch and coffee. It was nice just to be normal for a while. Baby girl is doing really well at nursery and I'm hopeful that the spring weather will boost my motivation levels a bit to propel my business and do some much needed rearranging in the house over the coming weeks. We're going out tomorrow, the three of us which is usually nice. I hope everyone is doing well xxx

My week has been alright, my kids are starting a new nursery next week. My 2 1/2 year old son had his settling in session yesterday and today and he absolutely loves it there. He's not shy at all and when I picked him up today he was chasing bubbles with the other children. It makes me very happy as he was a very shy in the past.

My 1 year old daughter will have her settling in sessions next week. I am sure she will do well, too. It's a lovely nursery.

Me and husband had a row last night, I guess because we're both tired, working, small children and also because of the situation. We have made up now though and I am looking forward to the weekend.

Have a lovely weekend everyone xx look after yourself

Hello Upset

Hope you have a nice visit tomorrow with your sons together :) and glad you got a video call. Sounds like your son is settling in well and great news about the open university course, sounds like something interesting/to pass the time/useful on the outside all rolled into one.

I am okay - just getting used to navigating communication with my other half. It's difficult sometimes due to who is around. I have been to visit him twice now and the second time was much easier - i still cried when I left though which I promised myself I wouldn't do as it just upsets both of us.

I feel like I'm going through the motions a bit at the moment and dragging myself through the days. I hope it gets better. My ray of light at the moment is my child so I am trying to focus on him as much as I can. Nearly growing season again so hoping to get out in the garden, it does wonders for my mental health.

Glad you have settled in to a new normal a d that the second visit went better, I think it was probably the 5/6th visit I stopped crying when we left but they always leave me with a sense of sadness but then I remember he is still here so that out ways the sadness xx
