This is an update from the Youth Justice Legal Centre website regarding Notification Requirements ( going on the SOR) which may be relevant to any young person who turns 18 before going to court.

I hope this of use to some of you on here.

Hi Alison, thank you for posting that. I have just read through it, as my son was under 18 at the time of first knock, since turned 18 so this could be relevant to us. I just didn't quite understand it, is it a new legislation or proposal please? Xx

Hi Kt

I am not legally trained but I have read it as it is to be a change in the law.

I would definitely send the link over to your solicitor and/or speak with the Youth Justice Legal Centre for complete understanding. The YJLC are linked with the 'Just for Kids Law ' charity as well and they can be very useful to ring or email for clarity on this subject.

That's really great. Thank you Alison, I will send it to our solicitor and hopefully she can go through it with us. Xxx
