Hi all,
My person appeared at magistrates today for their plea hearing nearly a year after the knock. One charge of 4 images Cat A IIOC and one charge of one image of extreme pornography. Pleaded guilty which we knew he would. He has three days to now sign the register and a provisional crown court date in a month which apparently will get out back as no probation office appointments before then.
Since this afternoo, I've been (what feels like) bombarded with phone calls from the SW and Investigator. Just want the news to sink in before I have to hear it from lots of different people too.
My person is as ok as can be, everything was as expected. But I want prepared for how much it would make it all real for me. Everything's resurfaced after a year of nothing and it's taken its toll on me tonight.
I told my family too (who have been unsupportive of course since the arrest). But they haven't given me the support tonight I needed. I'm at home alone with our 18month old and feel so alone in this journey.

I am so sorry to read you are really struggling this evening, xx
Nothing I can say will take away the upset you are feeling, even though you have been on this horrendous journey for almost a year and survived its things like the court hearing and charges bring it all back to how you were feeling then, the next few weeks will be unsettling until he is sentanced but this no matter how hard it is has to happen been in limbo is awful,
I am sorry you dont have the family to give you the much needed support especially having a young baby also

The plea hearing is another key stage in this how horrible process and some how further cements that this is real and happening. I think a lot of us on here can relate to how you are feeling today.
On a possibly slightly more positive perspective, you are a step closer to finding out the outcome and there after a way forward.

@Gardener93, I am so sorry what you're going through. I have similar aged children as well and know how tough it is.
Just take one day at a time. You have been strong for so long and you'll continue to be strong.
The silver lining in all this is that sentencing will be soon. You can rebuild after that (if you choose to do so)

You are not alone, I wish I could give you a big hug. I am about a month behind you and my person has similar charges. It's tough but this part needs to happen so you can start to move on. It's ok to struggle through this time. Hopefully your family can eventually try to support you because you have done nothing wrong. Sending love x

We are all here, you're not alone. Everything will work out for you and your baby, there are many unknowns on this journey but your baby has you so will definitely be fine and unaware of anything. Once they're in bed do whatever you need to do for you this evening; cry, sleep, eat, clean, watch absolute crap on the telly whatever you feel is best. Tomorrow is a new day and you are so strong.
