Seeing the evidence?

My partner has a voluntary interview coming up as police have found a "very small number" of images on his devices. He swears he has no idea what these could be.
Do the police let him see them at the interview? If not, how can he be expected to explain them if he doesn't know what they are????

I'd imagine it depends what they are as to whether they are shown or not. They may only need to ask questions about them for example describing when they were viewed, where they were saved or on which site they were viewed etc. His solicitor can ask for pre-interview disclosure, that may give more of an indication (or may just say they want to interview him about images and that's all).
My husband was shown Cat A images and parts of Cat A videos at his interview.
I guess it depends on the circumstances, with my husband there was no doubt that he'd done apart from the fact he denied it and blamed everyone else!!
Stay strong xx

Hi Christina,
yes your husband will be shown the images. He should also be told where they were located on the computer, where they were/are saved, if they were saved and any other relevant information about the images. The phrase they often use is ‘may have been deleted’ (they may never have been actually viewed so may not have been deleted) You must ensure he is supported by a solicitor in interview, even if it’s a voluntary interview. What he says in response is vitally important to the developments in the case.
