Hi all,

My so has a second interview tomorrow for a job working at Hertz which would be 9-5 Monday- Friday.

If he's offered it then he will accept and hopefully get agreement from the visor that this is ok.

He also had an interview last Friday for a night shift post at Asda 3 nights a week on a temporary basis and was offered the job.

My feeling is that he should accept both positions and then if for whatever reason the Hertz job falls through he has a back up..

Just wondering what the position is regarding someone having 2 jobs and whether this is allowed?

Any advice would be appreciated.

It's allowed (as long as contracts say so - there might be something in there which says they can't take a job in competition with the firm or which would bring them into disrepute) but the tax rate is possibly higher on the second.

Thanks Daffodil the nights job is only temporary and for a backup really if he isn't allowed to do the day job -he's worked nights before and I agree it is gruelling.

He just doesn't want to go back to square one with no job at all .
