Morning,

Thank you for the advise on my previous post it has really helped.

hope you don't mind but I have another question.

Has anyone had any contact with the police since your person was arrested? Any welfare checks? Have you tried to call the oic to try and find out what's happening?

just seems wrong to me that they just arrest your person and then leave to all to carry on with all the waiting and not knowing anything

I want to try and contact them and ask but I'm really not sure if it's the right thing to do.

thanks

The only time we heard from the police was just before his bail was due to be extended.(4 times) Apart from that Heard absolutely nothing till they called him back for his second interview. To be honest I'm glad we didn't as it just triggered every time I saw their name flash up on the phone x

We were advised not to contact the police at all under any circumstances. The only person you need to be in contact with is your solicitor x

I emailed the oic in charge asking for update and what happens next. I kept it in writing but did not give any personal info away or say he did / did not do it or discuss the case as such. I was nice polite but said how it was having a huge impact on myself and family etc and it worked as we were post sentencing in approx 6 months as she pulled some strings as she felt sorry for me! X

Our SW kept in contact with the police as it was taking such a long time for devices to come back from forensics. At 18months post arrest i made a formal complaint to the police force in question and told them how much my life had been affected by the length of time everything was taking. The OIC contacted me directly, apologised and said the length of time was unacceptable. She then chased everything up.At 20 months post arrest my person was called in for 2nd interview. 23 months on, first court date. It was worth contacting them in my case. Perhaps see if your SW can get involved?

Nobody on here seems to respond to anything posted on here... but I have no contact via phone or email since date he was removed of June 22 and he was given bail conditions to not be around us or around any under 18yo.....

Much as possible the cp meetings no attendance to now say sw only chasing up bail conditions etc as kids may want contact with him so she needs confirmation on whether they give green light or what is actually going on regarding things I'm no longer in same area as him as unsure if they aware of me relocating out of area......

Just feel so alone and feels like I'm in wrong more then his not chasing anything ( last time spoke with him 4month ago)

I have had quite a bit of contact with the arresting officer, she has been amazing and keeps me informed when I ask. My situation is quite different to a lot of you though as my ex took pictures of my daughter so I'm guessing that could be why. We haven't had the results of the forensics yet and I'm dreading it but need to know what the contents are so we can deal with it. We are almost a year down the line now but I know it's going to get even harder than the knock itself and that was horrendous!
