I ripped my house up after the knock!
Carpets, bedrooms, plaster off the walls, the lot!

Hi,
I didn't decorate as in a rented house. I couldn't sleep in my bedroom for months after the knock so I rearranged it and made it mine and baby's room instead of mine and my persons.
If I owned my house I would have decorated and/or moved xxx

I'm doing this at the moment the house is having a full makeover and changing everything. I'm doing it ready to sell in 2 years once my OH comes off the SOR. Start afresh again, with out thinking of when this happen etc and when the VISOR team randomly turned up every now and then.
Gives me enough time to save for each room. Gives me a purpose too.
The one colour I'm definitely not having is grey, bright and cheerful all throughout.

I didn't decorate, but I do have the urge now! I think partly because it's spring and wanting a refresh. We're also now the other side, and knowing I don't need to sell the house immediately is giving me the incentive to get it sorted. I did do a lot of sorting of stuff, and moving stuff around. I also bought new bedding and curtains for my bedroom after my person was arrested (he wasn't allowed home). It felt good to choose what I wanted, rather than compromising!
I'm only two months post knock but I've decided I'm moving as my house feels "unsafe". I'm not redecorating however I am completely decluttering. Everything that I don't use is going and it has made me feel so much better and is helping me feel a bit more in control.
