So as you know this is the second time for me .I didn't know Alot about autism, but mental health problems run in my family and even though not diagnosed I've always known my mother is different to most people and has had a couple of complete breakdowns in life .
I always thought my son might be a psychopath as I've only ever seen him cry once .he is kind and generous but seems to lack emotion.
So I looked up autism and even from birth alot made sense ,the late talking ,digestive problems he had encropsis in primary school .weird sleeping patterns,he always slept after school /work and then would be up late ,eating late .Not socialising ,excelling in computers but no other subjects .primary school asking me to test his hearing .
When I've asked him why this has happened he just says I don't know why mum.Im not physically attracted to children so it makes no bloody sense .
Where do I go with this ???If there is a difference in his brain or perspective how do I prove or use this in his defence .Obviously medical records will prove the bowel, and hearing problems but what do I do,how do I get him assessed and will it make a difference x

As a person on the spectrum I find it hard to consider autism as a contributing factor influencing/being used to explain behaviour and choices made...it may co-exist, and the isolation etc resulting from being neurodiverse in a neurological world might 'push' an individual to find connections elsewhere, but the different wiring/way of thinking alone, if anything, I would expect to steer an individual away from these behaviours because we tend to be absolute rule followers.
