In times of difficulty we all find different ways of communicating, and feeling understood and validated.
I think music is quite a common way of people finding this connection...there are so many 'break up' songs...but what about more generic ones that capture the sense of sadness/ grief/ anger/ disgust/ betrayal/ overwhelm etc experienced when you discover this nature of offending, and perhaps come to recognize the abusive relationship you have been living in.
I love - I'm not nothing, by Beth Crowley, but wonder if there are others people could share/suggest that we may find shared comfort in.
Thanks.

Hi Katy, I could set up my own personal playlist but off the top of my head a few I find either helpful and empowering or allow me to wallow a bit and feel understood are:
Cry - Godley and Creme
Fighter - Christina Aguilera
Pink - Family Portrait
Who needs you - Queen
Till it happens to you - Corrinne Bailey Rae
Cry me a river Alison Moyet
It's too late Carly Simon
Fast car Tracey Chapman
You don't bring me flowers - Barbara Streisand & Neil Diamond
I will survive - Gloria Gaynor

I have to say, since I've been in the Knock club, I do listen to music a lot more. Turned up loud and having a good sing song to myself while I'm washing up is a really good way to let out my stress! Not sure my children agree though, my 5yo told me to turn my music down the other day!
Fighters one of my fravs too bitter . Also Kelly Clarkson stronger .
Lost34 I believe music can be cathartic, soothing and healing, so sing away!
Newlady yeah Kelly Clarkson's Stronger is another good one.
A lot of the songs on Christina Aguilera Stripped album are pretty kickass, such as The voice within, I'm OK, Beautiful.
Broken Strings - James Morrison & Nelly furtado
You Learn - Alanis Morissette (actually Jagged Little Pill is a fab angry breakup album)
I don't care anymore Phil Collins (from Hello I must be going, another angry breakup album)
My Immortal - Evanescence
I'm on a roll now :)
