Police decoy

I didn't think they would be allowed to to be honest. It's inciting someone to commit a crime which would amount to abuse of process. I would flag this up to your solicitor and ask their opinion on abuse of process with regards to that. Xx

Sadly they do get away with it. When reading the transcript of the conversation my husbands solictor said 'it amounts to entrapment.' They constantly steered the conversation back until they got the answer they wanted. His was with an adult decoy about a child. I don't excuse his behaviour and he should never have engaged with someone online in the first place and should most certainly have cut the conversation when it's content went the way it did however 'lead conversations' are a used practice. It's appalling practice that is impossible to fight.
They are complete and utter liars sometimes, they did the same about my partner - said he resisted arrest, went to get a weapon and all sorts of stuff which wasn't true at all. I believe they do it so that when all of their evidence goes to the CPS it's another factor to push them to charge. I have a lot of choice words for them which aren't suitable for here!!!
Hopefully your solicitor can pick up on something else too, they will have to consider the rest of the conversation but perhaps the start of it and other factors may be just as questionable as inciting a meet.
