Smile,

Sending you a massive hug. I have an uncle who behaved inappropriately towards family members, they were both over 16 at the time but were left with trauma from it. It has taken a long time (about 15 years) but we do recall memories with fondness now. We're still estranged from him and his family but not actually solely because of that oddly.
I'm sharing to give you hope that he will be remembered for more than this. My grandparents passed before we reached this stage and I know it was a worry that they had. All family members went to their funerals and were all civil with each other.

Time is a great healer xxx

Smile I hope your family will come to realise that while your son did a bad thing, that is not what he is it is something he did, and that there is so much more to him than that. Hopefully they will remember also the good things that he has done in his life and his positive qualities

I have always said, even before the knock that nobody is 100% good and nobody is 100% bad. We all have our faults. I do hope that people will recognise your son's good qualities and that he regrets waht he did and give him another chance. Everyone deserves a second chance.
