So OH was at Crown this morning, I stayed home as don't think I could handle it.

He was met by basically a duty barrister who asked him why he wasn't pleading guilty, but he hadn't seen the evidence either, so far it's got all the way to Crown Court on the strength of 1 police officers description and nobody seeing the actual images.

So in Court OH said he couldn't believe the judge, who said to the prosecution that this case seemed bizarre and asked how the images had been classed as iioc, he said it was quite obvious they were a very small number of watsapp jokes.

He asked the prosecution to tell him which evidence related to which charge but he couldn't.

Then the judge said he would give the defence team 6 weeks to view and challenge the evidence and that he really didn't expect this to go to trial.

Lastly he mentioned bail and the prosecution said they objected to any bail variation. To which the judge reminded him that he already had agreed 5 weeks ago and that bail was already varied. To which the prosecution replied oh yes, then we don't object!!!!

All in all it sounded really positive although I'm quite aware we are far from out of the woods yet.

But God I hope and pray it gets thrown out on June 15

Thanks

Couldn't of asked for a better judge, I hope it's him on the 15th,

So solicitor is going to send an expert to view all the images and hopefully he can challenge the categories and get some thrown out.

Judge commented that there was very few images so hopefully be even less by the 15th

So pleased it seems to have gone well. From everything you have said your husband has been treated really unfairly. I am really interested to see if the fact he was a recipient of these univited whatsapp messages..yet there is no interest in the sender. Sounds like the Judge is less than impressed.

Hi,

I'm so glad that things seem promising and that the judge has taken a sensible approach. Hopefully it gets thrown out and you're all able to put this behind you and move forward xxx

Clarkestaff,

Sooo promising! Glad the judge was on it! Honestly shocking that the CPS has charged if the evidence hasn't even been looked at properly. Fingers crossed!! Xx
