How do you get called in for the second interview?

Just that really, do you get a letter in the post or a second knock?
I would dread seeing the police knock on our door again
Thank you

Hello lovely,
Usually you would get a phonecall, that seems to be how the majority (including myself) got invited for second interview.
With that being said I can't promise you won't ever see the police again or have them knock at your door. I had the horrible OIC knock twice following the initial arrest, once to ask me questions from the CPS and the second to smugly inform me he was posting the charges through my door. I do believe the police who dealt with our case were complete a-holes as well as incompetent so hopefully you won't have to deal with them again. Xx

BaffledB - I wonder if we are dealing with the same OIC. Please God there aren't more like ours!!! Actually I can probably guess the answer to that after reading many posts on here, although no doubt there are good'uns somewhere! My main bugbear with ours is that all the professionals we are talking to via Child Protection issues have been effusive in their praise for this OIC as they have encountered professionalism, promptness in replying to them and helpfulness in all their dealings and yet the opposite has been true for us as if the offenders don't matter and deserve poor treatment so we get no answer to emails asking important questions or vague non-answers, never answering a phonecall, sending bail conditions to an old address after being told specifically the new one (causing trouble as the mail was opened) etc etc. My husband is a retired police officer and wants to complain but of course our son (the offender) is asking him not to do that for fear of even worse treatment as this OIC has already threatened to contact his employer to get passwords when the police had them already so add emotional blackmail to the list and being indiscreet at a child protection meeting........
