Hi everyone

I just wanted to update you all on the sentencing my person had today.

PSR recommended community order with unpaid work and rehabilitation courses.

He got a 38 week jail term suspended for 2 years. 5 years SHPO with internet/device restrictions only and 10 years SOR. Also has to complete ihorizon and MEMOT (Ithink thats what its called) courses. No fine or unpaid work.

It's not exactly what we'd hoped for but still a good outcome. On the SHPO there are no restrictions on being around our kids or any other child, only the SOR terms of notifying police if he was to be around children for more than 12 hours. He'll have software put on his phone to monitor it and he's not allowed to delete search history etc.

He said that when the judge was asking about the impact on others if he was to go to prison his solicitor said me and the children as we're still together. I think that helped. His solicitor said if he had pleaded not guilty he would have gone to prison without a doubt.

So he's home. We've updated our SW with the outcome. She's coming to see us Monday. We've requested that our CP review meeting is brought forward from July so she is looking into that. She said that hopefully they can look into some form of unsupervised contact, but we'll see. I don't want to get my hopes up and I'm not expecting anything soon. I'm just glad he's home and fingers crossed we can start moving forward.

There were no press in the court room today. They could still publish details of his case so we'll be checking daily online to see if anything gets published. Hopefully not.

I'm going away for a friend's hen weekend tomorrow until Sunday. Finally I can relax, get excited for that and look forward to having a pina colada in my hand tomorrow evening!

Just want to say thank you for everyone's support through my journey. You are all incredible, strong, amazing women. My journey isn't completely over yet but I can start to see a way forward now after just over 2 years. There is hope for everyone x x x

that's a great outcome for you, so pleased to see positive outcomes. I pray that our outcome is a suspended sentence. We're 10 months in and still waiting on charges. I'm glad to see the judge took into consideration the affects a custodial sentence would have on you and your children. My biggest worry is my husband going to prison and having to try pay my mortgage and bills by myself, I already find it difficult to work as I now can only work around my children's school hours.

if you don't mind me asking what we're your persons charges? I dread the day my persons charges come but I'm also full of anxiety waiting for them.

Fantastic news that it wasn't custodial, and also that the media weren't present. Really hope for your sake there isn't anything published. Now go and enjoy yourself! X

Confused he had 22 cat A, 48 cat B and 480 cat C images. No communication with victims and no sharing of images. There were also over 2000 images that they were not able to confidently confirm if they were under 18 so they were not included in the charges.

I didn't go to court but he said they retired (left the court room to discuss) and were gone for 40 minutes. I think it was really close call tbh. I think the fact that he has worked so hard on himself and PSR was so positive helped.

Like you, without him at home I would have to sell the house and possibly relocate kids schools if it was custodial. I cannot afford to pay on my own. I'm glad the solicitor pointed that out in the court room how much we would be affected.

I really hope your wait isn't long like ours was. X x x
