Hi all. I see a lot of you mention your people doing the Aurora project . We've looked it up but it states he has to be prepared to travel to Nottingham . We are in Wales so too far for us . Are there any courses you can advise he looks at ( these would have to be affordable) . He's done the modules with LLF and the safer lives course but feel it could benefit him to do as much as he can to work on himself and prove how seriously he's taking all this . x

You can do weekly online group sessions. You have to self referr but my oh waited 16 months to get on it so there is a long wait but worth it

Perhaps worth exploring 'Circles'. They have regional operations and offer resources and support for both 'perpeetrators' (they don't use the term 'offenders' and family and friends. I was also stunned and delighted when the person I spoke to from Circles volunteered the fact that she deplores the term 'non-offending partner' for all the reasons we know about. We had a v positive discussion about this topic!

Thanks for the replies.

scared and confused... Il definitely get him to look into the Aurora project then . Are the group sessions usually in the evening? ( can't risk him taking time off work at the moment , just another thing to worry about)

Intatters ... I've looked into Circles but unfortunately it's not up and running in Wales yet . They're looking for volunteers now to get it started . Many if I was a couple more years down the line I'd think about helping them out . If I could help anyone through this I would . We don't seem to be able to access so many courses here as in England . I've looked into many free safeguarding courses for myself but unless I live in England I can't access them and I can't seem to find the equivalent in Wales . Xx
