Evening Lovlies x

I hope you are all bearing up ok x

A busy but uneventful week for me, work has kept me occupied as usual,

We have a visit with my son tomorrow and he is fully recovered from been poorly so no doubt the canteen will make lots of money from us lol , he is so looking forward to having his buttered crumpets (such small things make a huge difference)

I hope what ever you all have planned for the weekend brings you some much needed enjoyment, no matter how tough things are we all still need to remember how truly strong we are and need to have some you time and self care xxx

Week has been up and down. Went to a family party which i was dreading. Only two people asked me about OH and i just said he was ill. Had a really lovely evening, so glad i went. Puppy been keeping me busy. Have been going out every night for a walk. She can only do 15 to 20 mins at the moment but it is getting me out. Though she did not do anything i asked in puppy classes. I know it is silly but i got really upset and felt i was rubbish at everything. Then things went downhill feeling alone and miserable. Spoke to the coucillor on wednesday and she put things in perspective for me. So feeling a little better.

Going to the theatre on my own tomorrow. Decided i needed to start living. No one wanted to go and the 'friend' who i normally went with is the one that walked away. So will go and have a great time in my own company.

Buttered crumpets sund lovely.....

I've had an up and down week, and an up and down day, com eto think of it. This morning when I woke I was pretty much sure I was going to call it a day on our relationship, by the afternoon I was like "what am I thinking?"

For whatever reason, I'm feeling a bit calmer and more rational about things and feel more prepared to accept whatever outcome. I think it's me finally accepting I have no control over this situation, I just have to carry on. And I will.

Hi everyone - bit of a mixed bag for me, few ups and downs. But I'm ok.

my son is fine, who wouldn't be working outside in fantastic weather all day - even if you got attacked by an angry seagull not impressed with mowing near her nest!!!!! Horrible creatures.....

He tells me as most of the cat b's have now been moved it's open all day, which is fabulous (of course this changes if there's staff shortages). As regards food - big thing from next week CHEESE is available, which apparently is a huge deal!

Make sure you all get out and enjoy a weekend of sunshine, which is exactly my intention. Hug to all x

oh, Upset - have a good visit today x

Hi everyone,

Bit of a mixed bag this week ups and downs but I guess it is just a part of this new normal..

Upset I hope you have a good visit with your son and lots of crumpets are consumed.

Smile great that your son is getting outside again even with the seagulls ( winged rats in my opinion I am terrified of them)

Sotired-sounds like you had a great evening.

I am going to an art workshop tomorrow and sitting out in the garden today in the lovely sunshine-sending you all so much love and strength we are all here for each other and it really makes all the difference xxxx

I'm starting to hate these weekly check in's as as I seem to be on a downer all the time :-) Well to totally knock me off my feet my best friend who was only diagnosed with lung:liver cancer 5 weeks ago died on Wednesday, I can't believe it can happen so quick but we believe she kept it from family and friends for a while. I am beyond distraught. She was the only one I could talk to about my son and now I believe she was listening to me talking constantly about him while she was dealing with the cancer so that has left me feeling so guilty that I was so wrapped up in my own problems. It's also made me feel incredibly angry towards my son that ive had to keep away from him the last few days so I don't say something I'll regret later. Sorry for the moan. Have a lovely weekend in the sun ladies xxx

Hey everyone,

Well done on making it to the weekend.

Upset, hope your son is enjoying his crumpets today! No doubt he'll also have lots of other tasty treats as he usually does!

Mandymoo, I am so sorry to hear about your friend. What horribly sad news :( This world is so cruel. I'm sure you're feeling all the emotions, but as we all say, be kind to yourself x

This week has been tough. It was my first week back at work after being signed off and it was a difficult one as I've come back to work beeing horrendously busy and manic. Though I'm glad it's the weekend and the sun is shining. I've taken up regularly swimming which is saving my life and mental health. Tomorrow I think I might brave a local outdoor unheated lido... Though the weather is warming up, the water is still bitterly cold, so I must be nuts as no doubt I'll be freezing my t*ts off!

Wishing you all good and restful weekends x

Hello everyone

My week has been busy as usual in the office.

Been out running today and visited the local swans. One pair's eggs hatched recently and the little cygnets were out on the water today. So fluffy and cute. Bit like a buttered crumpet, sometimes it's the little things in life that give you something to smile about.

@Mandymoo: I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. Sending massive hugs your way x

Afternoon lovlies x

I just wanted to say my intentions of the weekly check ins is just to see that you are all doing ok the last thing I would want is to make anyone feel they have to reply or post x

I do genuinely care and want to know you are all ok, it is purely out of care and concern, these posts don't need to be positive or happy they are about not been alone and to know we are all here to help each other, it's a place where you can know you're not alone good or bad we get you xx

SoTired I didn't get to see you post but I hope you are not burning yourself out and are ok xx

We had a lovely visit, he is fully recovered from a mouth infection that could have been sorted had he been able to see a doctor, after days of suffering and it got to the point of him not been able to eat and when he finally got to see the doctor she was mortified as to how bad it was , so given antibiotics he certainly was able to eat today x

Now bearing in mind we have a 2 hour visit he ate and this is in order

4 toasted crumpets with lots of butter

A chocolate muffin

A pan a chocolate pastry

A warm sausage roll

2 packs of 3 bourbon biscuits

A bar of fruit and nut dairy chocolate

A packet of ready salted crisps

A bag of skittles shared with his sister and 2 bottles of Oasis drink

But worth every penny xx

Upset,

The lists of your sons foods really do make me chuckle and think of the hungry caterpillar.

Mandymoo,

I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. Sometimes a bit of distance away so we don't say anything we regret is good. Just make sure that you're not holding in and not addressing your emotions. Your feelings are completely valid and deserve to be acknowledged. Maybe write a letter even if you have no intention of ever giving it to him.

Dragon,

I hope you enjoyed whatever you've done today. I'll drop you a message once the tiny world leader is in bed :-)

My week has been pretty uneventful but I'm grateful for uneventful just now. Sending love and strength to everyone on this journey. I hope the sun is shining on you all and that you are able to take a moment to enjoy it, even if it's just a moment xxx

Distressed x

I know lol I don't know where he puts it but I totally get why , the canteen offers so much more than what they get (apart from his weekly canteen) it's so good they have reintroduced toasted crumpets and they only cost 50p for 2 but yet we still spend £25+ a visit lol x
