Social worker decision

My 16 year old stepson was arrested for viewing & making indecent images of girls similar age to him when he was 15 so we will be waiting 6 months to a year for the polices decision.I'm struggling to understand why my stepson is not having to do the Inform course when this was part of his support 6 weeks ago? The social worker is signing off the case & happy that his devices are being monitored by the police & home.
I feel he has not addressed his behaviour in enough depth whilst the rest of us have been through hell!I am speaking to a counsellor today because my mental health is going down.
Thinking shall I ring the social worker to voice how I feel?I used to work for social services so I know he's not a priority because his Mum & Dad are supportive.

Leave it up to his mum and dad unless there's a serious safeguarding issue . He's very young and has probably learnt his lesson . I do think maybe his parents should have made him do the course but that's my opinion. I may do differently if were my son ., To make realise how serious it could get but maybe they've talked to him about it . Hopefully he just made a stupid mistake and didn't realise how serious it was . Hopefully he's learned his lesson.xx
Also, SW signing off doesn't mean no SS involvement - my children still under a SS CIN plan even though our case is signed off.
It will help any future legal case that he has done the inform course, but as NewLady says, this is up to him and his parents.
