A positive story. My person pleaded guilty at the earliest opportunity for possession of cat A (about 3), cat b (5) and c (less than 10) and distributing one a or b.
He was warned he could get 2-5 years. Today he was given 8 months, suspended for 2 years.
He was also given an SHPO so can't delete internet history or take photos of children and needs to complete a course.
his pre sentence report put him as a 2% risk of reoffending.
Hopefully this will reassure some worried friends and family.

I think we always need to hear positive news as we spend this entire journey fearing the very worst. Glad you had a good outcome and wish you lots of love on moving onfrom this x

Obviously forums like this are where people come with questions about worries and fears or to offload when upset or angry, which is so needed, and an absolute godsend, but we need some hopeful stories too so we don't all sink into a mire of despondency (although there are always people on here to hoist us out, thank goodness)!!

Hi, can I ask what steps your partner took before appering in court? Courses ect. I do not believe mine is a risk and he is getting help through therapy and AA. He also has images and sharing, not sure that's all I have been told. He is allowed unsupervised access to our boys and can even have them over night if he wants. I'm hoping that this counts for something.
Hi N, he hadn't done anything official. Had researched on this website (was mentioned in court as being positive), he also stopped drinking, but not through AA.
