Human kindness

Talking to my son yesterday about food in prison. I asked him if anyone actually went hungry - reply "yes", "especially the old lads, too old to work and been cut off from the outside" (so no money sent in) to pay for 'extras'. . I thought this terribly sad.
He went on to say all the lads rallied round to share their food to make sure they didn't go without. Even their precious kettle meals were passed round.
A place were people imagine to be full of 'horrible people' it gives you faith that human kindness does exist and folk help and support each other in whatever circumstances they find themselves in....
