If someone has a first court appearance for 1 charge of a sexual offence, is it likely more will be added once they arrive at court and see their solicitor to go through evidence? Person has been charged with Inciting Sexual Activity with a Child Under 13. In my ignorance and looking at news articles, it seems unusual. They often seem to mention multiple charges like if they received a picture they would also be charged with possession of IIOC. Does anyone have experience of this?

Thanks for the reply. I was wondering because only one charge is listed and whether at court they will say it's one count of one charge or more etc. Also as it's a triable either way offence I wonder if it will automatically be sent to Crown from the first hearing or hand down a sentence at Mags? And how likely it is they will adjourn sentencing for a presentencing report? I guess tying to prepare for all possibilities.
