Telling family & friends

I am nearly 2 months on since my 16 year old stepson was arrested for viewing & downloading indecent images cat B & C when he was 15.I have felt ready to speak to people for support but now I feel maybe I've told too many! My husband has told no friends or family so I am his only support which is tough because he needs more support.
I started counselling yesterday which felt like a very positive step for me to help me with my worsening mental health & so I don't offload as much on my husband.Just so worried about our relationship
Would like some feedback please x

A lot of people will tell you not to tell people as you can't take that information back, but I'm very open and I've told lots of people. I've been lucky that despite lots of people knowing, I've haven't had any repercussions, and people have been great. We're post sentencing and it was in the media so I couldn't hide it now anyway. It was my husband, not child or step child, so a different situation and although we're no longer together I do support him as a friend. However I couldn't have got through the last few months without being able to share with my friends what is going on. My only concern would be that this is your step child and it's not your story to tell, and the damage this may do to your relationship with him and your husband. I know your angry and upset, but he is so young and this is already going to have huge implications for him and his life. He needs all the support he can get.
I remain guarded and selective what I tell people and whom I talk to. Some might appear to be supportive to your face but it can make interesting gossip to some!
My immediate neighbours know the whole story and have been amazing support to us. But others it's a basic response.
