2nd interview
Notifications OFF
My person has been notified today of a 2nd interview next week, several weeks before his extended bail runs out.
What does this mean and what might happen next? Could he be charged at this point or is it an information gathering situation again?
He will be accompanied by a solicitor but I'm keen to find out some info beforehand as my anxiety is through the roof

Evening Hun x
Usually with a second interview they usually have more evidence that they want to discuss so deffinatly a good idea for him to have a solicitor with him xx

Ok, I feared they might have found more. We've emailed and asked the solicitors to give us all the information.
It's just so awful waiting for the worst to happen, a slow motion disaster movie but it's our lives falling apart instead of actors on the screen :(

It is hun but you will get through this as hard as it is xx
The solicitor wont know any more details as the police like to keep to themselves until the interview
They may not have found anything else it could be an update on what he is going to be charged with so as tough as it is you will at least know what the next steps are x

In my experience my husband was called in for a voluntary interview after images had been found and they wanted to ask him about it. Don't be surprised if your person doesn't find out until he is at the station for his interview what he is there for. Police will most likely leave it to the day of the interview to disclose to the solicitor what he is being interviewed about. He will have a chat with his solicitor beforehand to go through the evidence and the solicitor will advise whether to go no comment or a full comment interview. The police may also advise that they will pass it to CPS for a charging decision, if he admits to what has been found. This is just my personal experience, it may be different for others though
Hope that helps, i know how anxiety inducing it is when you have no idea what is happening x

Thanks so much. It's just awful.
We've had disclosure from the solicitors and are looking at fewer than 10 images across cat a and b, but also the disclosure says 'indicative' with a different number next to it.
Does anyone know what that means?
The information also says more may be disclosed, it looks like a standard statement but in people's experience do the police usually withhold things until later?

For info, indicative is the estimated age the police think the child is. In our case, estimated age of 16
