Social services written agreement
Notifications OFF
A few weeks after the knock, social services were on our doorstep with a written agreement regarding our child and the person arrested only having supervised contact (doesn't live with us, but a family member nearby). We were just on our way out and insisted we sign the agreement on our doorstep. The first plea hearing is this week. Is it likely after that we will have social care contact us again? They were clear with us at the time we have never been open to social care, even for an assessment, but could that soon change after the hearing? For clarity, we have adhered to the written agreement.
Hi Chooks,
I guess it will all depend on the out come and if u still want to keep the arrangement u have, if that's a yes then, I can't see anything changing. I guess it depends on wat u want to happen x

You might be contacted to let you know and see if you're still abiding by the agreement. If you assure them you are, I can't see why they'd take it any further.
If they say they do want to assess your children, you can decline this. They'd then have to decide (multi agency decision) if it met threshold for a strategy discussion, following which they could insist on assessing. I'd be surprised if it met threshold for this if the only evidence they have is of you being protective, so I wouldn't worry too much about it
