Hey Upset Mum,
Your weekly check in reminded me it was Friday! I'd forgotten. This week has flown by!
Good luck with the packing! I hope it all goes well. Moving house is always difficult and especially in hot weather so hope everything goes well and smoothly for you. Glad to hear your son is doing well. I'm sure he'll make up for his hungry caterpillar ways next time you see him!
This week has been an emotionally challenging week for me with a lot of conflicting and triggering emotions around my ex. But I have the day off work today so I've spent it wandering around my local park with a friend who knows of the situation and I feel much better as a result. The sun is shining here, hope it's lovely weather for you as well. xx

Hi upset mum
OH was in magistrates today for breaking his SHPO. Will be sentanced in crown next month.
Lost my shit today ALOT. Going to have a nice long bath later & take some wine with me.
Just very sad for my LO as I don't think the judge will suspend it this time which means the loss of our home too.
Hope you're ok too x

Hello
It's been a challenging week this week for my OH facing questions at work. But it went ok - could have been worse - and we await what next week brings.
As to me, I've had super support from HR and my Line Manager this week so feeling ok about that. They seem to genuinely care about all this stress in my life and although I know what they're really worried about is the stress spilling over and effecting my performance at work, I can live with that.
Nothing much planned for the weekend except a few garden tasks.

Bluebell77,
So sorry to hear of the breach. This is something that worries me so much (as if I don't already have enough to worry about!). My person is in prison, and seems to think that once he's out (on licence) life will be easy, fun and free. That is of course not the case at all, and to be honest, I think it could even be harder than being inside.
He'll have to abide by conditions of the SOR, SHPO and any additional conditions that probation or SS put in place. To be honest, just keeping track of the conditions will be a full-time job in itself! I know I will live every day in dread and fear of him breaching (either inadvertently or otherwise).
Totally understand if you prefer not to share details, but would you mind letting me know what the breach was, and whether it was accidental. I feel I need to add understanding of managing conditions and how best to avoid breaching to my every growing toolkit of knowledge about this crazy, nightmarish rollercoaster.
Other than week has been OK - hope the same for everyone else. x

Hello check in friday.
This week has been good. Taken a few walks on my own as do not have many friends left. But i went to the coast and had an ice cream, it was lovely. People tend to speak to you when you are on your own, its weird. Also my daugters birthday. My children agreed to sit with OH so had a family meal for the first time since xmas, which was nice. Walked my dogs in this lovely weather. The puppy is coming on and her recall is coming along nicely. Taking her and the older one to dog training classes, mainly to get me out of the house. Thinking on joining a gym but not sure about the cost. So have been looking into that as well.
Still finding things generally difficult but trying to not let it get me too down.

Hi ladies, it's always lovely to have this refreshing catch-up, well done Upset for introducing this thread x
ive had a nice week and thoroughly enjoyed this sunshine. Also I've had a couple of brilliant outings with the grandkids, which always boosts my mood.
My boy is fine - very hot while working in the gardens. Not a lot to report but that's a good thing as he bites into his sentence with each passing week!
so yep - all good.

I have spent most of the week at war with garden pests (using only natural solutions). I appear to be winning at the moment.
I have found them a much more manageable foe than CPS so I can recommend.
I'm not sure how helpful alliums might be at magistrates, but it may be worth a try???
I always forget what everyone else has written as soon as I start posting, but it has been lovely to read about your weeks, thank you for sharing.

Hi there . Had a good week. Work was good . Got to spend a lively day with my person on my day off the run has been shining .(not now though lol ) we got good news . My person po says he's gonna be out down to monthly visits to her soon , been fornightly for a while and she's pleased with his progress and he's only to see visor once a year ! He only got sentenced in January so this has really given him a big boost . Hope you all have a good weekend and take some time out for yourselves x
I'm a day late but this is my first time of actually joining in with the Friday check-ins although I read them every week. It's not that I don't care about how you're all getting on, whether you've had a good or awful week - quite the opposite - but I think I felt a bit shy about contributing (although I'm fine about replying to threads asking for specific info or advice, if I have anything to say).
Anyway, this week has been a fairly good one, with the weather contributing to that I think. Our son heard back from a solicitor so we don't have to stress about dealing with his OIC any more, he also heard back from StopSo about a therapist and seems totally committed to proceeding with that which is a big relief as I know he found the idea quite daunting. My husband and I have been accepted to do the Inform course and have discovered that we can do it face to face about an hour from where we live so that's good as being oldies neither of us are comfortable with meetings on zoom! After weeks of inactivity things are hotting up regarding things we can all do, so I'm feeling slightly more in control of the way forward, and long may that last as I know things take a nosedive when the police intervene with the next stage of this nightmare.
On a personal level, I went to see The King and I with a very old and dear friend. It was on halfway between our two homes. She was the last of the few people I wanted to tell about our son but I decided not to this time as I didn't want to spoil the day. Famous last words! She asked one leading question too many as we obviously share family news whenever we meet up - many tears and hugs and non judgmental words were shared - and we loved the show.
My OH was invited for a 'wellness check' this week and said all was OK, but yesterday the doctor rang with an appointment for him on Monday. He's not worried but of course I'm overthinking what might have come to light from the blood test he had. I'll feel easier once we know but as the test was to check blood sugar and cholestrol we're assuming it's to do with one of those.......fingers crossed it's nothing to worry about!
Anyway, wishing you all a lovely weekend - I realise it's fathers Day on Sunday which will be very upsetting for lots of us, I'm sure - for a whole variety of reasons - so sending an extra big hug for anyone who needs it.

Hi upset mum
So good you do these check in every week, it's like waiting for a friend.
Not been here lately putting myself slowly back together after the family members broke me, its been a hard few weeks.
Today I read in the sun, had a bar b cue and drank maybe a little too much wine. I'm also hoping we get this thunderstorm we been told is coming for the last week or so.
Take care
Virtual hugs for all.

It's great to hear from you, and I totally get that feeling of time flying by. It's wonderful that you had a good week with work going well and beautiful weather. Packing can be quite a chore, but it's a necessary step for whatever adventure or change awaits you.
I genuinely hope that everyone in your circle is doing alright, especially those who have had a tough week. It's important to have help and support during challenging times, so I hope they're receiving the care they need.
As for the hungry caterpillar, it's a relief to know that he's doing okay. Sometimes, it's the little things like that which we can be grateful for. Wishing you a fantastic day ahead, and may the upcoming weeks be filled with positive moments for you!
