RUI outcome

I'm not very active on here having only posted occasionally, but just wanted to put this on as I know these kinds of posts have helped me through this awful journey.
March 2021 we got the knock. It was a Saturday morning and I am so thankful every day that our children were out at a sleepover that Friday night so weren't there. My husband of 18 years was arrested on suspicion of possession of iioc, linked with a Kik account. Devices seized, and our lives turned upside down, never to be the same again.
He was bailed for about a month, and then RUI. Children's services said no unsupervised contact, and I was convinced at the time that my marriage was done. In time, I was able to supervise contact between him and the kids, and we were left in this awful limbo that most of you know so well.
Today, he has heard from his solicitor. No further action. He can go and collect his devices from the police station, and... that's it. 2 years and 3 months later RUI is over.
So now it's time to start trying to rebuild my life. Whether or not that is with him or without him is yet to be decided, and children's services may have more of a say in that than I'd like, but I guess that's just one of the many consequences of all this.

It's the result that most of us want, so I guess congratulations!!

I'm in the same position as you, well a year on from the court case, but legally it's all over. My advice is to not feel pressured into making any decisions and just take it one day at a time. If you are meant to be together you'll find a way. Try and take whatever good things you can from this situation. Do things for yourself that you wouldn't have considered doing in a marriage. Use this time for growth, there's so many podcasts and books that I listened to and read that gave me a whole new perspective on life, if you're in any way interested I'll recommend a few. X
Hope the next bit of life goes smoothly for you - suddenly having a full stop to so many months of the ups and downs of this journey is bound to affect your emotions so hope you have some good support around you. But in the meantime enjoy the sense of freedom! xx
So sorry it took so long to be told NFA but it's a great outcome for you all xx
I wish you all the happiness as you move forward and rebuild xx
