Hi,

This is my first post. My daughter's grandfather got the knock a couple of months ago and to cut a long story short (you all know the story) I am struggling to find any counselling support for her. I would like it to be specialised for children in her situation, but cannot seem to source anything. The GP had no suggestions as cannot refer kids for counselling as has to be done through school. Thereis obviously a huge CAMHS waiting list....

Does anyone know of a charity or organisation that will support a very angry and hurting 12 year old?

My 12 year old just had 6 weeks of sessions with their school counsellor. It helped them a lot.

I have secondary school age children and fully empathise. So so sorry that our innocent, precious young family members are facing this. I can suggest the following as specialists in this very specific area (neither the school, GP or social services were able to offer a jot of help or advice):

- Circles (offer family support programmes/counselling)

- Children Seen and Heard

- Barnados

- Safer Lives

Wishing you strength and serenity x
