Today I've been told by his family that the police have gone round and given them a list of his charges.

We hadn't told anyone, mostly for the safety of me and our daughter. His family aren't exactly known for being discreet and although we know it could all come out when he goes to court we thought there would be a bit longer that I feel safe at home before the whole town knows about it all.

When the knock happened in Jan the police asked me if he had spent any time with children, having just been christmas we had spent a short amount of time with his cousins & their kids, literally half an hour on Christmas Day sat in a room full of family while we swapped presents. We don't spend any time with them usually so I dont know why they felt the need to share so much with them? Especially as I also told them we had stayed with my sister for a few nights & she has 2 kids and they've not tried to contact her?

Can the police just turn up and tell family, friends etc? Some of my family already know but I haven't told my brother, I don't know how he'll react so I've been putting it off, but do I need to tell him now with the risk the police could turn up and tell him everything anyway?

He hasn't been around any of the kids since the arrest.

His bail conditions are no contact with anyone under 18 unless supervised by someone approved by social services. I can supervise as can his mum but we have only been doing so with our daughter. As I say he doesn't usually see his cousins anyway so it's not been difficult to avoid them since January.
