Delay sending evidence to CPS

Has anyone experienced delay with the files being sent to the CPS for review? We were told about a month ago the file was ready to go for a decision but discovered today it's not been released to CPS yet. Any ideas why?
For context the police say they found a a handful of cat a and b of a suspected 16 year old from the dark web

My person was told it takes a month for the file to be uploaded into the cps system. Not sure if this helps you, as they are now three months on from this and still nothing. I'm trying not think about it.

I'm also trying not to think about it but the solicitors updated us today and I know it will play on my mind if I don't ask
