Hi guys,

Just a quick question, does a short stint on remand generally equal a long custodial sentence in your experience? Helpfully I don't know the cats but I know there are 3 charges. I'm thinking this is likely ... to make an example it seems so many of you on here have had to wait eons for any kind of a sentence...

There was the possibility of community service raised the other day but of course now it has been made clear that my person will not be allowed back in the home by the landlord this won't be an option.

Thanks for reading xx

Hi,

My person was in remand for 6 months and got a community order of 3 years, SOR and SHPO for 5 years. His was a communication offence. I think it depends on a lot of things but mainly the judge on the day. There are lots of people who cannot return to their homes after sentencing for various reasons so his housing situation shouldn't be a factor in sentencing. It would be good to talk to the probation team about support with housing when he has his pre sentencing report done xxx

Mine had a few days in remand and then a suspended sentence. I think it very much depends on who you get on both occasions. Everyone was surprised he was remanded.
