PPU and SHPO

It's been 9 months since the knock.
I've been reading a lot of posts on this forum and feel a tremendous sense of sorrow and hope for all of you that are experiencing some suffering from the knock
My adult son is anticipating a community order of some sort for 1 charge for cat B and 1 charge for cat C possession. Initial court date is in about 3 weeks. We live in the same house just the 2 of us, he is renting. How involved will I have to be with the police that visit the house? Do I have to speak to them at all? Im looking for people that have actually experienced living with an individual in their post-conviction stage.
I want to give the police and my son the space they need, and I also want to try and stay as disconnected from the visits as possible but am also happy to help if I am needed. My Son is technically a tenant in this property as am I, will I be forced to interact with the police or any support that my son is dealing with? Are they allowed to just walk into the house that I also live in even if he isn't home? Do they arrive at weird times completely at random, at risk of potentially interupting a family gathering?
So many questions. Hope the best for you all.

Can't tell you how much I appreciate your response. It's not easy to find the real experiences of people that have actually gone through it unless it's something really bad.
I hope to document my experience so that others can refer to it and know some of the ins and outs of how this goes.

Hi I have experience of this so send me a message and I will reply.
I have posted on this forum, may I please have access to sending messages directly. Thank you
My son just had his presentence interview and he said it went well, they will recommend a community order which is okay. I am worried about mosovo/visor visits. It seems like I cant have my house a mess or be relaxed in my home? How late or early do they come? I have accepted the idea of visits but I dont understand the way it plays out in real life. So glad this is finally all coming to an end though. Silver lining.
New here,
don't fear the PPU , they are not judge and jury, the more open and interactive you are with them the easier it is, initially your son will be apprehensive but they can be quite helpful, they may ask awkward questions to begin but this will be so they can guide your son away from what may have led to being in court..
