How can we move on?

Further down the line I think you grow a thick skin! I really don't care what others think about my son or me....... they don't know the truth behind those headlines. And I'm not wasting my life worrying if they think this or think that.....
sounds harsh but that's how I personally feel in my situation and how I cope.

Your kids and your partner will be part of your life forever, the others won't. I know it's easier said than done, but you won't care about any of this in 20 years time....

Hi,
My person was also in the press. Our knock was 3 years ago yesterday and honestly I can say that the feelings do subside and you learn that people speak from where they're at and what they think they would do in the situation. This is completely irrelevant to you as they are not the ones on your journey.
He has lost a lot of friends over this and it's awkward if we see them out and about especially as we have a toddler so our days together are at places that toddlers enjoy; parks, soft play and swimming mainly. His SHPO has no restrictions on where he can go and nothing around physically being around children so we live our lives making sure that our daughter has a normal life. We've had the looks of disproval but nobody has approached us.
I can definitely relate to the feelings of being untrustworthy and it really bothered me initially but as has been said already these judgemental people will not be in your life further down the line so try not to let your thoughts run wild. You haven't done anything wrong and you deserve a good and fulfilled life xxx
