Just thought I'd share something from good housekeeping mag august edition, by caitlin Moran,
The spread of extreme free online port has left a generations of boys thinking they must be ripped monosyllabic pumping machines with no room for things such as tenderness vulnerability or pleasure.
I spoke to one teenage boy who'd seen as is common his 1st porn film at age 9, and then struggled with pork addiction, or making any kind of real human sexual connection, for me sex was point, I preferred it. By the time school gave sex education lessons it was too late every boy in my class had been watching porn for years and so in my new book I address these issues, sex, porn , body image, friendship, loneliness.
Her new book called what about men looks very interesting, out now

My good friend is a youth worker (in a church youth group, if that makes it all the more shocking but maybe not!) and she says that many of the boys (Yr 7 upwards) think that sex should be like what they see in porn and the girls who are just starting out in romantic 'going out' stuff are often encountering the boy wanting to do what they've seen in porn online.
I was horrified as at that age I just longed for a boy to hold my hand and 'going too far' was something so tame that today's teens would just laugh at me.
Yes it is absolutely dreadful - I'm very unhappy about my grandsons having so much access to the online world and as for having their own phone, I'm already preparing my speech about the dangers of that!
