How long is wait from cos and then what happens

So my husbands case is now with the cps,I don't know what this means and then I don't know what happens after is been with the cps,, advice please x
Cps will decide if they have enough evidence to take to court. The decision can take a matter of weeks to months to decide. So again it's a waiting game. Then you will be given a date for the court hearing either magistrate or crown court depending on what he's been charged with xx
