This is really good advise for everyone and something I need to remind myself a lot of the time as I'm a real 'what if' thinker (and not 'what if' it's a good outcome!)

Actually I randomly came across this book the other day and think I might get a copy but it might be a good gift for those of us with loved ones in prison and seems to chime in with what you've described, Smile. I was wondering whether to share it with you actually :)

Hi, Ive started a FaceBook group for women in our positions, both those in the middle and those at the other side, which I am. The purpose of it is to give hope and share positive stories, tips and anything else that can help get through this ordeal. This forum is invaluable for information and support but I know that when I was in the thick of it I had to stay away because a lot of the topics and stories really triggered me.

I'd have loved to have had a group when I was going through the hell that many of us are going through or have went through, that was inspiring, positive and gave hope and that's what I hope to achieve with this group. It's completely private and no one has to use their real FB profile, and though it's small in numbers at the moment I hope it'll grow so we can share our wins and positive stories and hopefully help others on their darkest of days.

If anyone would like to join please feel free to message me and I'll send the link xx

Oh Daffodil - I'm so so sorry if you found my post flippant or offensive in anyway. The last thing on the planet I want to do is upset anyone.

It was just a view I personally found interesting and I do understand it doesn't apply to all my lovely friends as they need support and love as they suffer with the horror of clinical depression, sadness and low moods xxxx

out of respect I have deleted my original post.

In side and outside this forum I'd hate to think I'd upset anyone. I (like everyone) have and are coping with enough upset as it is!

thanks and have a good day folks x

Just read this thread again and echo what the last few posts have said (hugs from me to everyone too). I think that all of us are so fragile at the moment that we easily worry about upsetting others and adding to their emotional toll. I commented under Smiles original post and then saw that she'd deleted that one and guess what I immediately thought to myself? 'Oh no, I think I must have upset Smile with MY reply', until I read further.

Isn't it horrible how this whole situation affects us to our core in so many ways, not just the obvious emotions like anger and grief, but the more subtle things like our self confidence...........but I do agree that finding so much mutual respect and non judgment on here is a beautiful thing indeed xxx
