Phones searched, but no forensic report yet

Hi,
About 5 weeks ago my husband's solicitor informed us that my husband's phones have been forensically searched and been sent back to the police . Since then, we haven't had an update from the police.
The police have now informed the solicitor that while they have received the phones back, they haven't received the forensic report yet.
Is it normal that the search report arrives much later than the devices?
And how long does this usually take?
