Yep I'm fine thanks. I just popped on a post reg Lucy Letby's parents/and how the media are homing in on them, had a rethink ...... it was a view with no relevance to the forum....... just my hate of the media resurfacing.
I have found myself thinking of them a lot this week too.

Yes I have personal experience of ICU and children so it is awful. How someone in such a trusted position could do that. There are some roles that we are taught to trust.
Most of us here have been in court and it was traumatic but those families have spent months hearing the details. It must have been awful.
All the lives changed because of one person. So sad.

I cannot see your post smile through tears but i agree. I have seen articles about Lucy Letby parents and the media somehow trying to blame them. I think it is because they cannot understand how a person can do that without a reason. But it is too much like people blaming us for our family members crimes. Friends leaving etc. They even said the parents must be siding with their daughter when they did not turn up for sentencing. Why would they attend court if their daughter is not there. Would I go to court for a sentence of my OH if he was not attending? Of course not. They did not ask to be in the media.
I'm sure they had no idea what their daughter was doing. I feel the media are now focussing on ripping them apart now she is under lock and key - the hell that family must be going through...... just bloody leave them alone.....
I wish the media would just leave her family alone.
Yes I agree - I did read somewhere that they had stated one reason they wouldn't be at the sentencing was so the victim's families could make their impact statements without their presence distracting the media, so possibly they wouldn't have attended even if their daughter had.
