Hi,

So had confirmation my OH pre trial hearing will go ahead tomorrow, I won't be attending this time as my son is collecting his GCSE results, we were all going collect them together but now obviously can't, I hope the hearing doesn't put a dampener on what should be my sons exciting day.

My OH barrister is attending tomorrow, so will meet her for the first time and they are having a zoom meeting between them an the solicitor to discuss the strategy for the upcoming trial, as he's pleading not guilty to all 8 counts.

I'll be a nervous wreck tomorrow, wondering what's happening at court and hoping my son has got the results he wants, despite such a turbulent year for him. Fingers crossed for 2 positives

Hi,

Thanks for the messages of positivity, so on a positive my son did fantastic in his GCSE results, better than he or we expected and I have to give some credit to his head of year, she knew all about what was happening in his family life and she went over and above to support him including allowing him to sit his exams in a quiet room instead of the main hall. So just a reminder for others who have kids in this awful situation, ask for support.

Regarding court. Well the Barrister said this is a unique case and she can't find another example of a case where the defence is that the images were sent as jokes. The judge told the cps lawyer that the images needed to be made available to the jury, he replied that he wasn't sure how to do that as they had never needed to before. The judge said well you better find a way !

Barrister said it might come down to how lucky we are with the jury

Delighted for your son and good to hear the support he received. I cant believe this farce re your husbands charges are still going on. Given what your husband has maintained throughout re how he came to see these images how are the CPS surprised that a jury might need to see them. Sending strength and praying that someone sees srnse in your husbands case x
